Eastside Baptist Church

Thanks for visiting the Eastside website, I am Pastor Rodney McDuff. I was called to preach at a young age, but did not surrender until after I was married. When I finally reached the end of myself and surrendered, I told the Lord "I will do whatever you ask me Lord, I just want to serve you". I have a wife named Rakel that I married in 2003. I have a son named Randy who is the music director here at Eastside, and a daughter named Stacy. I have enjoyed serving the Lord in some sort of capacity since 2008 as a Youth Director, Music Director, Associate Pastor, and now as lead Pastor. God has been so good, and we simply want to honor Him through spiritual guidance, biblical preaching, and doing all we can to honor our Lord until He returns. What a blessing Eastside has been to me.

My personal testimony and walk with the Lord began at a young age. God started calling me into the ministry when I was a young man. For many years I ran from that calling. 

After finally surrendering in 2022, the Lord brought my family and I to Eastside where I received mentorship and guidance from leadership. I have served as the Youth Director since 2023 along with jail ministry and more recently, Associate Pastor since December 2025. I am currently attending seminary. I am passionate about studying and preaching the Word of the Lord and helping others understand it for themselves as they are on their own journey and walk with the Lord.

My wife and I have been married since 2007 and just celebrated our 18th wedding Anniversary in August of 2025. We have three daughters Julia 13, Abigail 10, and Lillian 7. As a family, the Lord has given us a heart for serving others and helping support them on their journey to Salvation and in their daily walks with the Lord.
